The terrace

Dreamily stirring your cappuccino in the shade of an olive tree, between hibiscus and hortensia flowers. Letting your eyes float over the vineyards of the Überetsch valley and peer up towards the mountains. The sun shining warmly across the South of South Tyrol, a breeze wafting the scent of nearby woodland towards you.

The terrace

Life is good on the two-storey terrace of Hotel Römerrast. Splendid flowers are dotted around a green sea. Vineyard green. Forest green. The green of the mountains. On the tables on the terrace: coffee and cake, a colourful apéritif (we are in Italy, after all), a tub of ice-cream slowly melting in the sun or a typical Kalterer Brettljause snack with 'speck', cheese and 'Schüttelbrot' crispy flat bread washed down with a glass of white, red or rosé wine. You just have to try the local products of the soil.
